If you seal it well in a freezer bag, theoretically forever. Freezing prevents growth of bacteria, however the quality of the taste will diminish over time. It could get freezer burnt as well. As long as it looks alright to you go ahead and use it. You can extend the life of it by vacuum freezing it. Six months is probably the longest it will last considering these factors.
The guidelines state no more than three months in a good quality freezer
Frozen items will stay edible for a long time. For Hamburgers, at least a year or so. They won't taste too fresh, but they will be edible.
According to the chart inside our freezer it should be OK for up to 3 months.
