Watercolour has a short drying time. It only takes minutes for the paint to dry. The time it takes for the water to dry is how long it will take for the paint to dry.

Semi-gloss paint sometimes has problem sticking to walls that have a higher gloss paint type already on them. Usually, a light sanding and a coat of primer will help. Sometimes, semi-gloss paint peels if it was applied during high-humidity weather, as it doesn't dry all the way through.
Many would say that a semi-gloss, flat or satin finish would be best for a houses exterior. The semi-gloss is suppose to be the easiest to clean later on. The flat or satin finish paints, do not have reflective shine when dry.

Well, I paint my police cars by first lightly sanding the area I will be painting in (so the paint sticks better). I use gloss metal spray paint. Let it dry, and your done.
