How long does it take to be repaid by the insurance? |
[Edit] |
Answer
may be important to note that the insurance comany does have the right to request additional time to investigate etc...and no you do not have to agree to this request, but this too can extend the time constraint (whether you agree or not)....check with the dept of insurance for your state, (usually can get the number from 800 information)
In most U.S. States, the insurer is required to settle with you or to make a bonafide offer of settlement within 60 days of notification that a loss has occurred.
Non acceptance of a legitimate offer by the claimant or insured relieves the Company of this time constraint.
