hello i just looked into this field and there are a few ways to do this occupation ~ there are certificate programs at a trade school that will train you and then you can takethe state test , and not receive a degree but a certificate and these schools are generally so expensive and in my opinion not worth it go to your local community college and do it there very cheaply and get the associate degree for a fraction of the money and pass the state board, hope it helps and good luck in your decision to get more education i applaud any one who desires to learn
