You would need to start taking suboxone at the first signs of withdrawal I have been on sub for over a year. I love it. Just as most posts state...sub will give you a "ceiling high." You will be high while you're taking the sub, no matter how much of a tolerance you will build. But really, there really is no "tolerance". You can Google sub clinics in your area. Call and set up an appointment. It's really easy. They can usually get ya an appointment in about a week. Insurance usually covers all costs, but if you do not have insurance...it's not that expensive. I mean, it's gonna be cheaper than buying opiates everyday. I have snorted sub, it's usually been when I'm running low on count though. I recommend sub to anyone and everyone who has an opiate addiction. Suboxone is a lifesaver I dunno what I would've done without it.I finally have my life together. I have all me debts paid, a house, a great job, and a wonderful family who fully supports me. It's not easy waking up in the mornings withdrawing and wondering "...how am I gonna get something today?" It sucks. Just think...you can get sub legally and it makes you feel energetic. You WILL NOT experience ANY withdrawals whatsoever once you start the medication. If you can't succeed with sub, you really just do not want to quit.

Get your life back on track. You're better than being an addict.

Do remember: If you're pregnant, you will need to ask for subutex.

How long does it take to get addicted to Oxycontin or Methadone? How about Hydrocodone or codeine A week? Two weeks? It depends on the person really ... but don't fool yourself. Suboxone is a HIGHLY addictive substance, that WILL get you high, and if taken long enough, is just as hard to kick as any Opiate or synthetic such as methadone or Dilaudid. Suboxone is used to taper down off Opiates, and should never be taken with the fear of addiction. As you take it, you should be automatically tapering off it as soon as you start. If used properly it is a great tool, if abused it is just like any other PK.

What you're describing is impossible. You cannot take Suboxone for opiate addiction without becoming addicted to the Suboxone.

For example, a heroin addict who wants to quit getting high can start taking Suboxone instead of heroin. The Suboxone will feed the heroin addict's physical need for opiates, without getting him high. In essence, the heroin addict trades in his heroin addiction for a Suboxone addiction. He takes Suboxone, and now he is addicted to Suboxone, instead of heroin. When you start taking Suboxone, instead of heroin or Vicodin or whatever, what you are doing is substituting your opiate addiction with a Suboxone addiction.

In other words, Suboxone does not cure your addiction. It merely prevents you from going into withdrawal.

You are confusing this with detox and complete abstinence. Suboxone can used on a short term taper to curb or eliminate the physical effects of withdrawal. They idea is to expunge the heroin from ones body and not use Suboxone long enough to create a new addiction. Because of the long half life of Suboxone it is easier to taper. No one said it was a cure for addiction. It is a tool to treat addiction. Many rehab centers now use Suboxone as a tool to detox people over a week with a quick taper and then transfer the person to group treatment and individual treatment. One must change their life and lifestyle. Just taking Suboxone or Subutex and doing little else will lead to relapse if your goal was to quit using opiates. Detox is easy, the hard work is with one mind.

Luckily, however, Suboxone is much, much easier to wean yourself off of than heroin. Once you feel you are ready to stop taking the Suboxone, you slowly decrease your dosage -- very slowly, usually over a period of several months -- until you are able to stop taking it completely.

For example, if you are taking 16 mgs of Suboxone a day, then you would take 14 mgs on Monday, 16 mgs on Tuesday, 16 mgs on Wednesday, 16 mgs on Thursday, 14 mgs on Friday, 16 mgs on Saturday, 16 on Sunday, 16 on Monday, 14 on Tuesday, etc., etc.

Once you've done that for a few weeks, you start taking 14 on Monday, 16 on Tuesday, 16 on Wednesday, 14 on Thursday, 16 on Friday, 16 on Saturday, 14 on Sunday, etc., etc.

Once you've done that for a few weeks, you start taking 14 on Monday, 16 on Tuesday, 14 on Wednesday, 16 on Thursday, 14 on Friday, 16 on Saturday, etc., etc. After a few weeks of that, you start taking 14 mgs every single day.

Then, after a few weeks of taking 14 mgs each day, you start going down to 12 mgs: you take 12 on Monday, 14 on Tuesday, 14 on Wednesday, 14 on Thursday, 12 on Friday, 14 on Saturday, 14 on Sunday, 14 on Monday, 12 on Tuesday.

Then 12 on Monday, 14 on Tuesday, 14 on Wednesday, 12 on Thursday...

First 16mg is a ungodly amount of Sub to take. You need to be in withdrawals, then take 2mg, wait 1 hour, if your feeling ok stop, if not take another 1mg wait 1 hour, repeat until feeling ok (not high). From there stay at that amount for 3 days and then reduce by 25%. stay at that dose for 4 days and reduce again 25% until you get to .5mg then skip a day, dose, skip 2 days dose, skip 3 dose and then shoot for 4 days. If you get to 4 it's all mental. Subs don't stop cravings. Whole process can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks and done. Never ever ever start at 16mg. Thats insane

How do you keep from getting addicted to Suboxone?

It's very easy: YOU DON'T TAKE IT! Suboxone is for the treatment of opiate addiction. Suboxone is itself an opiate, but it doesn't get you high, so you can quit getting high without suffering painful withdrawal symptoms. So, anyone who is using Suboxone the way it is meant to be used (for opiate addiction) is already addicted to opiates. He is addicted to the opiate heroin, and, as soon as he starts taking the Suboxone, he will be addicted to the Suboxone. So, if you are asking how to take Suboxone without getting addicted to it, then you obviously are not an opiate addict. You are obviously asking because you want to use it recreationally. Which is illegal.Furthermore, Suboxone is a very poor choice for a recreational drug. If it does cause a high for recreational users, I can't imagine that it would be a good high, since it is specifically designed not to get you high. Suboxone is made up of buprenorphine (the active ingredient) and naloxone, which is a partial opiate antagonist -- it blocks the opiate receptors in your brain, so you can't get an opiate high. The drug Subutex is just plain burprenorphine, without the naloxone. Since Subutex lacks the opiate blocker, it is possible to get some sort of high off of it. But again, I can't imagine that it would be a good high, like heroin or morphine or oxycodone.

How long does it take to become addicted to adderall?

Depends on your body. Some people get addicted quite easily, but some don't. For example a pack of cigarettes will be enough for one person to become addicted, and for other months are needed to become addicted (like me :D ).

How much mg of suboxone you must take when your amount of heroin is very little?

If you have the standard 8mg Suboxone, try cutting it into quarters. Take one quarter of Suboxone and wait about one hour. If you still feel crappy, try taking another quarter. Suboxone is strong, effective stuff! I was addicted to 80-120mg of Oxycontin and one quarter of Suboxone completely melted away my withdrawal symptoms. Good luck!

Can people become addicted to sudafeds?

You can become hooked on pseudoephedrine or Sudafed. It is a decongestant, and you can get to the point where your nose runs every time you try to quit. You can also get addicted if you abuse the drug. Abusing drugs is when you take it just to try to change your mood, especially when you take too much. This can cause you to become addicted to it.
