Are these whole potatoes or cut potatoes?

Large ones or small ones?

If these are whole baked potatoes, (Large Potatoes) puncture them several times each with a fork. Preheat your over to 375 and bake for about an hour. Carefully remove one of the potatoes from the center of your pan, use a knife or fork and make a small incision to check if it's soft all the way through. If it's still a little hard, continue baking, and repeat the same "poking" process until your fork or knife goes through easily all the way through the potato.

Take the potatoes, wrap them in foil, and place them in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven. Check the potatoes by piercing them with a fork after an hour and a half. The fork should push in smoothly, with only a little resistance.

How long it takes to boil 10 pounds of potatoes depends on the size of the potatoes. Cutting them into small pieces will speed up the cooking process. Typically, potatoes cook at a rate of 15 minutes per pound.

It can take only 15 minutes. Slice up all of the potatoes. Make the slice more like cubes. Cube the potatoes into approx. 1 inch cubes. Then they should only need to boil 15 minutes. Then you can make mashed potatoes with them!

It depends on the potato. You need a fairly hot oven too. Heat the oven up, wrap in foil and cook for approx. 45 mins. You will know they are cooked when a skewer pushes through them easily.

How many pounds of potatoes will feed 45 people?

About 1/2 pound per person, so 22.5 lbs ---- The answer depends on the quality of the potatoes and how much each person will eat. If you use excellent potatoes (no defects) and you WILL NOT be peeling the potatoes, then: Assuming the following: # of people: 45 Pounds consumed by each person: .5 Edible %: 100% (potatoes with no defects, baked in skin) Lbs of normal sized potatoes required: 22.5 lbs = 45 * .5 lbs / 1 Lbs of large sized potatoes required: 33.75 lbs = 45 * .75 lbs / 1 Lbs of ex-lg sized potatoes required: 45 lbs = 45 * 1 lbs / 1 If you use excellent potatoes (no defects) and you WILL be peeling the potatoes (for boiled or mashed potatoes), then: Edible %: 90% (potatoes with no defects, peeled) Lbs of normal sized potatoes required: 25 lbs = 45 * .5 lbs / .9 Lbs of large sized potatoes required: 37.5 lbs = 45 * .75 lbs / .9 Lbs of ex-lg sized potatoes required: 50 lbs = 45 * 1 lbs / .9

How many lbs of potatoes do you need to make 18 lbs of potato salad?

mashed potatoes for 1 person would be about two good sized potatoes, which weigh approximately 400g. Therefore 80kg of potatoes would feed about 200 and if anyone wants second portions or there are some larger people in your party, then 100kg or 220lb of potatoes should suffice.
