How long does it take to feel better after only two 1mg tabs of clonazepam?

Honestly it depends on how long you have been on the medication. I was on Klonopin for 3 years and when I finally stopped taking it (cold turkey) I suffered from terrible shaking for about 3 days and NO sleep for at least a week. Its not so much painful, but an annoyance. You will feel a lot of anxiety, more so than before you started the medication and you will become depressed if you are not already, but there is a drug that is a miracle worker for detoxing off of any benzodiazepine and that is seroquil. Serioquil is typically given to people with bi-polar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, and sever depression. I would not reccomend long term use of it, but it will make getting off of klonopin a breeze! The first time I detoxed from klonopin I had no clue what I was in for, but my doctor put me back on it because of my sever panic disorder. I did not want to stay on it, and wanted to try something less strong like an anti-depressant that also treats anxiety. I was recommended to take seroqui to detox from the klonopin and I slept like a baby, it helped to take away the shakes I was experiecing ( also a good muscle relaxer can do that as well), and because seroquil treats anxiety it also helped me from going through the emotional roller coaster I went thorugh the first time around. So I would suggest getting a script for seroquil and take it for about a month maybe 3 weeks. You will be completely detoxed off of the klonopin. Also while you are taking the seroquil take melatonin ( 2 pills with dinner). It helps to build up the natural melatonin your body creates and that will mkae you be able to sleep on your own. It is not a prescription medication and you can buy it at any pharmacy, even young children take it so it is safe and non habit forming. Hope this helps, Dawn
