How long does it take to steam a hot dog? |

If the hotdog is uncooked (very rare in this day and age), it takes about 20-30 minutes steaming to raise the internal temperature to about 150F. As hot dogs are frequently pork products, they should be cooked until the internal temp remains at this level for 15 or so minutes.
Almost all hotdogs nowadays are purchased cooked. In this case it's jsut a matter of heat and eat. Depending on the volume of the steam you're producing, figure 5-12 minutes should do just fine. If you're boiling in water, about 3 minutes per dog should do the trick
