Answer

Assuming there is no penetration of the brain, it would take anywhere from a minute (if a major artery or vein is severed such as the jugular vein in the neck or the aorta in the chest), to months from infections. It depends on what part of the body got stabbed.

It also depends on whether or not the stabbing instrument was removed from the wound or left in. If it is removed the wound will hemorrhage and blood will flow out which increases the rate of blood loss, while if the instrument is left in the victim will last a little longer.

I don't know exactly but... Death will come fast and surely.

It's pretty unlikely that anyone will survive a stabbed aorta. It's pretty much the last place you will want stabbed. It's much more likely you will survive a knife to the heart.

To correct him.

Death is instant. The air bubbles that would travel within the Aorta. It would cause instant death. It is connected to the heart directly.

How long will it take to die from a stab wound to the abdomen?

The liver is extremely vascular, meaning LOTS of blood flows thru it. If it gets ruptured you have about an hour I would guess. Your body does a lot to stop blood from leaving the body, but without surgery you're a goner. Other than the pain of the injury, its not a bad way to go. You lose blood and just go to sleep...and of course never wake up...which is a bummer.

Could you die if you were stabbed while being severely anemic Would you die?

A stab wound while anemic may result in significantly higher risk of injury or death. If stabbed while anemic, the lack of blood cells and hemoglobin will result in the inability to seal the stab wound. The result could be minimized by treating the anemia beforehand.
