How long does valium stay in your system? |
Valium is very addictive. Untold numbers of patients and medical staff alike are addicted to Valium. Literally addicted to Valium and a few other drugs.
Benzodiazapines (such as valium) can stay in the system for a longer period of time if the patient has been taking them for a long time. In chronic usage cases - valium will be detectable for up to 30 days.
In only rare occurrences where the patient has taken only one or two doses will the valium not be detectable in a few days...and again, that is very rare.
I took valium for 4 weeks after back surgery....it showed up in a urine test 28 days after i stopped taking it.... I was taking 5mg 3x a day for 4 weeks
- Just a note to verify that last statement, valium stays in your system a LONG time, after taking just 2-3 over a 2 day period, i tested posted for it 1.5-2 wks later. And I am a 35 yr old v. active male, and normally drink lots of fluids...so be careful if you have a test coming up. Note, you are normally NOT tested for benzos on a standard SAMSHA drug screen (pre-employment). It's only the expanded ones which you get if you are a pilot or train operator...or in a drug program (me). Good luck.***
