The average size of a giraffe's tongue is about 18 inches, but can range in length up to 20 inches. This is the equivalent of 46 - 50 cm. The long tongue is prehensile, allowing the giraffe to use it to curl around and grasp vegetation, much like a hand.
A giraffe's tongue is about 1-2 feet long when fully grown. When They're young, anything from 7 inches +.
The giraffe browses on the leaves of trees, shrubs, vines, and herbs using its long tongue, which can be up to 18 inches long.

A giraffes tongue is anywhere from 20-25 inches long.Some say depending on the height of the giraffe sums the size of its tongue-I say that's wrong.
