In a urine test they probably would be able to detect it up to 48 hours later or more,depends on how much you had and how much fluid goes through your system,so it could go up to 72 hours or more.
I would like to add to this answer above, I took ONE 10mg methadone pill and failed a week later, have NEVER taken it before or after. Absolutely do NOT expect methadone to be out of your system and pass a urine test any LESS than 10 TEN days. No amount of water will help (I drank over a gallon of water for 3 days each day) prior to a 10 panel urine test 8 days later still FAILED. To protect yourself, purchase a test and test yourself. If in doubt do NOT take a urine test for a job, or any other reason BEFORE you test yourself.
