The previous information about the diameter of a ureter is incorrect. Having recently passed a kidney stone, I have researched the answer, and found that the average diameter of a ureter is 3-4 millimeters.

Usually about 10-14fr. When catheterizing a female, we use a larger catheter than we do a male. Catheterizing a female is usually done with a 16-18fr catheter.
