How long should you wait after you take suboxon to take methadone?

It really depends on the person. Since methadone works for 24 hours you really should wait 48-72 hours. Wait as long as possible because you do not want to get deathly sick from the suboxone. see?? i just smoked some crack and i didnt have to wait no time!!

They say about three days but they've never been without methadone either! Tapper yourself down to about 10 to 20 mg. a day, then wait until your starting to feel kind of crappy, because if you wait for as long as they tell you to you will more than likely take some methadone, because the withdraws are a real mother trucker and I can tell you because I was on 160mg.of methadone and 240 mgs.of oxycodone and day!, so withdraws I know. If you are going to a methadone clinic for suboxone (by the way it is cheaper) they ask you not to take anything for a week! I sorry but there ain't no freakin way that a person addicted to methadone is going to go a week without nuts I'm telling you .A Doctor may ask you to wait until you are in mild withdraws, and I sure you'll know when that is. When you first start taking suboxone you might think that you've done the wrong thing but you didn't in 2 or 3 days you'll feel so much better your feelings come back your soul comes back. Do you know what I mean ? You`ll have a headache for a day or 2 so don't trip its just your brain trying to ajust! lol But I swear you will Thank God that you did it .Anyway,I hope this helps, because its the real 100%truth.If you have any other questions about this post it and I do my very best to help. I have taken suboxone as soon as 6 hours after a shot of heroin and have done that plenty of times, and it prevented me from getting sick at all. If you are going to take it 6 hours after your last shot then I would only take about 4mg of suboxone, then wait about 6 more hours and then you can go ahead and take 4mg or 8mg more of suboxone.

If you've only taken methadone 1 day, wait at minimum 24 hours, if not 48 hours. If you take methadone every day for a sustained period of time (i.e. at least 2 weeks up to years), you should give yourself close to a week, taking Subutex (Suboxone without the naloxone) during that week to help treat withdrawal without triggering withdrawal.heck, i didnt even read the question right. sorry, im on crack!!
