I think it would depend on the size of the dog and how often he/ she drinks water. When I was a kid, we use to have a lab who would hold his bladder for 8 hours. I think that this is even too hard for humans I wouldn't expect my dog to do anything I couldn't do myself. I put down wee wee pads during the day and he always goes on them. When I get home I pick them up and he goes to the door when he needs to go. Some dogs will withhold from drinking water if they know they won't be able to go out to potty. One of my dogs won't drink water if it's raining because she doesn't like to go out in the rain! Your dog is just doing what dogs do.
Most puppies do not have full bladder or bowel control until they're around six months old. A good rule of thumb is to expect a puppy to hold it for about as many hours as his age in months. In other words, a two-month-old pup can hold it for two hours in a crate, a three-month-old pup for three hours in crate, and so on, up to about six to eight hours for an adult dog. Note: This rule does not apply when a puppy isn't crated. Most pups will need frequent potty breaks while they are up and running loose in the house or a pen.
Usually they can hold it one hour past their month age number- for example: a puppy who is three months old can usually hold it for four hours, a five-month-old for six hours, a six-month-old for seven. Although depending on how much they drink it can be sooner or later. Usually a puppy will also give signs when it has to go.
well, it would be safe to let them out every two or three hours. its basically the same for a dog as it is with a human; dogs don't like holding their urine. when they can't take it anymore, they wet themselves.
general rule of thumb is the age of months they are plus one thats how many hrs they can hold their pee ex. 4mnth pup can hold their pee for 5hrs
a dog can holds it pee for 3-4 hores unless it really has to go
over 900 hours
5 hours
forever because they are loveable

You can hold your dog.......whoever told you you couldnt
You should take your dog to the vet right away.
For an adequately hydrated dog with normal renal function, urine specific gravity should be over 1.030.
A baby should NOT be doing this it is VERY bad for your baby to be in an environment where Dog urine is present.
It means you dog or puppy had a bacteria is the urine system. You need to take your dog to the vet emitted to ensure your dog will be safe. It is a deadly dieses in your dogs urine
A dog should go out for a long time about 25 minuits at least.
Dog urine is actually a lot safer than dog saliva as the urine has just been through the dogs immune system. However there are still a whole lot of unwholesome things that could be transmitted via urine: stds, herpies, rabies, leporacy, etc.If you don't mind being licked by a dog you should feel less uneasy about its urine. A disgusting thing to say I know but that's the truth of it.
yes. and people.
Yes, it should.
