I have my belly button pierced and i took it out 6 weeks afer i had it done because thats what i was told to do.

well it really depends on you because i took mine out about 2 months after i had it done, put a diferent one in and it worked no problem.. but then i noticed it was gettin to heavy and it hurt so i wanted to switch back to my old one.. that didnt work well as i was putting my old one back in i had to break skin at the top and it was bleeding wich ultimatly slowed down the healing process. now ive had it for almost a year 10 months to be exact and i can switch back and forth easily. i think its better to wait and let your piercing heal in peace then to go and irritate it.

I highly recommend waiting 4-6 months before changing your jewelry. Foremost, you don't want to risk irritating your piercing while healing. Waiting until almost healed completely is better.
