I usually do over night.
yes as long as it is not totally dead.
Not at all. A 35 amp charger is far too large to charge a lawn mower battery. Use a 10 amp automatic charger.
With a 10 amp charge about 1 hour if the battery is totally dead. You should really use an automatic battery charger that shuts off when the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging.
Depends on the output of the charger which you did not list. A dead battery can be recharged with a 10 amp charger in 3 hours.
yes Yes you can, but I would use a charger that has an amp switch, so you can use the lowest amperage there is on the charger...like 2 amps at the most, mine has a 10/2 switch on the charger..I would only use 10 amp for a VERY short time, and if you can keep an eye on it, then switch it to 2 amps...most motorcycle batteries can be done this way..
If it is totally dead it will take at least 12 hours.
Charging time varies greatly, dependent on the batteries condition at the beginning of the charge cycle. Most modern battery chargers are automatic and will reduce charge amps as the battery becomes fully charged. If your charger is a manual type, there are two ways to know when the battery has reached its storage capacity. If you have a volt meter, the battery is at full capacity when it reaches 12.6 volts with the charger disconnected from the battery. Alternately, you can purchase a battery tester, very similar to an anti-freeze tester, which checks the specific gravity of the acid in the battery. Those can be purchased at any auto parts store for a couple dollars. You must have a battery with removable cell covers to test the fluid, most all lawn tractor batteries have removable covers. As a side note, ensure each cell has enough "water" to cover the lead plates by 1/4 of an inch or so.
Utility tractor is just a general term for an unspecialized tractor. This could be anything from a large lawn tractor to a large farm tractor so long as it's capable of being used in a wide range of applications.
With a charger specifically designed to charge this battery.
I have learned that when i get new batteries for my hobby cars you want to fully charge the battery to the recommended hrs, you want to charge the battery fully because it will improve how long your battery will last on one charge and how long the battery's life will be.
How long does it take for an 18v battery to charge
I assume you mean how long to charge the battery. You should never let the alternator charge a dead battery if possible. The alternator is designed to keep the battery charged but not to charge a dead battery. You put a strain on the alternator and it can cause a diode to burn out. Drive home and then put a battery charger on the battery to fully charge it.
