You would think cooking a whole chicken at 450 degrees would be completely dry, although this is one of the easiest and most flavorful ways to roast a whole chicken. You can lace the legs up and pull the wings into the chicken, but it is not necessary. A little salt and pepper rub on the skin and inside the chicken. You can also stuff a couple of garlic cloves under the skin. Be sure to use a broiler pan to catch the drippings otherwise the grease will splatter on the walls of your oven and smoke up your house. A 5-6 lb chicken will take approximately 70 minutes.
If you are referring to whole chicken legs (drumsticks and thighs), here's my favorite way to bake them: Heat oven to 475 degrees. Place chicken legs skin side up on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake, occasionally basting chicken with pan drippings, for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken reads 165 degrees.
I can't say how long at 450. I don't know why you would want to cook it that high, normally you would cook chicken breast at 350 for 45-60 minutes (internal temp 170-185). If it's boneless breast you can cut that down to about 35-40 minutes.
I Would Never Cook Chicken At That High Of A Temperature ... but the best thing to do is take the temperature of the inside of the chicken without touching the bone cause the bone will give you the wrong temperature ...The Temperature Has To Be At Or Above 160o
I would cook the chicken at 350o to 345o I usually put it in for 45min
[Checking the temperature before taking it out]
(Chicken usually takes 45min to 1hour)
A slow cooker for 6 to 8hours more or less depending on high or medium
[As long as the temperature comes to 160o in the end]
You can make your own time and heat choicesjust with the taking the temperature of the chicken
35 minutes at 450. It will be more tender if you bake it for 40 minutes at 400.
At 425, 6 drumsticks take about 50 minutes. Maybe just turn it down. :)
325 degrees, 30 to 45 min
The safest way to determine when chicken is fully cooked is to use a meat thermometer, and cook the chicken to 185 degrees F.
Place the chicken in a pan large enough to accommodate the chicken plus the water you will add. Add enough water to cover the chicken. Bring to a boil over high heat and reduce the heat to Medium. Gently boil the chicken for 60 minutes or until the meat is nearly falling from the bones.
an hour and a half
this sounds a little too HOT!! Why 450degress?????
450 is, itself, a whole number.
35
about 1 1/2 hours @ 450 degrees
450
I say cook them both at same time at 425. with out knowing what you are cooking, I can only say split the difference on the time.
Yes.
To achieve food safety, you should cook the chicken to an internal temperature of 165 degrees or higher.
Boneless chicken tenders should be fried to an internal temperature of 165 degrees. This can take anywhere from 8-14 minutes, depending on the heat of the oil and the quantity of chicken. To check that the chicken is cooked properly, cut one in half and make sure there is no pink or transluscent flesh.
