You can use it as often as you like -- it's just olive oil. The heat makes your ear feel better for a little while. Pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen are better for the pain. You'll need antibiotics if it's infected, though.

Sweet oil will not cause any pain in the ears. As a child, I had earaches often. My Mom put warm sweet oil in my ears all the time for earaches.
I do not know if sweet oil has any healing properties or not. As a child I had frequent earaches. My Mom put warm sweet oil in my ear and had me to hold a warm towel over my ear awhile. This always helped the pain.
You can put many medications into the ear, depending on what is wrong. You can even put plain olive oil, or "sweet oil," into your ear to relieve pain and irritation. Your doctor will decide which medication you need and give you a prescription for it.

Sweet Oil, available at most pharmacies, will loosen ear wax. Put in a couple drops and repeat for extreme cases. The ear canal needs to have a protective covering of earwax so don't get carried away with it. Do not probe the ear canal with any object because you can rupture the eardrum. As the wax softens from the oil treatment you wipe the ear with a tissue.
You probably shouldn't put that much oil in your ears at all. One way I know is very useful and works right away is peroxide (medical). You only need 2 cap fulls for 2 flushes each ear. Do NOT use q' tips if you have ear infections often when you get sick. Use a surenge with hot water to wash out all the peroxide.
no alcohol just use peroxide
oil
They just put their ear to the chest, often with a thin piece of cloth in between.
To put an ear cover with a bridle, you put the EAR NET over the ears and then put the bridle on over it.
well........i had a problem with my ear once. The ear specialist told me to rub a little bit of olive oil inside the outer ear canal and that it will make my wax start to develop again. (( My ear was not producing wax and this helped)) Do not put too much olive oil......just rub a little bit twice a week on the upper interior part of the ear ........
