I have sensitive ears and the dr wants me to put sweet oil in my ear to loosen up the wax before coming back in 2 weeks. Will the sweet oil cause pain if I put it into my ear?
Sweet oil will not cause any pain in the ears. As a child, I had earaches often. My Mom put warm sweet oil in my ears all the time for earaches.

The ear canal needs to have a protective covering of earwax so don't get carried away with it. Do not probe the ear canal with any object because you can rupture the eardrum. As the wax softens from the oil treatment you wipe the ear with a tissue.

(( My ear was not producing wax and this helped)) Do not put too much olive oil......just rub a little bit twice a week on the upper interior part of the ear ........
