Like any other baby bird they get protected and warmth by the father then grow and form a beak and crack the egg xx :)
21 days from start of incubation. Once the proper temperature and humidity is applied either by a broody hen or artificial means, the eggs will hatch in 21 days.
When I raised mine, they hatched in 1-2 days. You won't have to wait that long to enjoy watching the pre-historic survivors swimming once again.
