How long was titus andronicus played for?

Answer:
If you mean, how long does a performance last, the BBC version runs for 167 minutes.

If you mean, when was it played historically, it was actually quite popular in Shakespeare's day. It was printed three times in quarto form and is the subject of the only contemporary drawing of a Shakespearean production. After the Restoration it became less popular, surviving only in adaptations, and infrequently at that. In the twentieth century, its star began to rise. Olivier played Titus successfully in 1955 although in this and most mid-century productions the violence was represented symbolically (i.e. there was not so much real blood). Julie Taymor's 1999 film adaptation Titus brought the play to the notice of the general public again.
