Foods that are left out in room temperature for more than an hour can begin bacteria growth. Our stomach acids can kill some of these bacterias but not all and some can make you very sick. Keep foods OUT of the danger zone- Above 45 degrees and Below 145 degrees. Between these temperatures bacteria lives and breeds on our foods.
Uncooked eggs generally last a few weeks or even months when not kept in a fridge, as long as they are stored in a cool, dry place. An easy way to check if an egg is okay to eat, is to place it in water and if it sinks, it's good, but if it floats, it's bad. Eggs don't need to be refrigerated, they just need to be kept cool (a cupboard/closet is usually an ideal place to store eggs).
It is best to use raw whole eggs before an hour left out, to avoid any bacteria contamination.
The general rule is that if the egg reaches room temperature for longer then a half an hour then it could be bad. (the egg has to completely come to room temperature)
Normally up to the use by or best before date either stamped on the egg or the egg box.
Fresh unpeeled carrots can stay out of the refrigerator and still be edible for a couple of days. However, if your house is hot, you should refrigerate them so that they last longer.
