It depends on:

* The water content of the vegetable (carrots keep much longer than lettuce or peppers)

* Storage conditions (the colder the better, as long as it's above freezing) * Age when it gets to you (fresh from the farm vs. trucked from the other side of the country). * Leaf vs. root: Leaves half a short life once "killed" by picking, whereas roots (onions, garlic, turnip, carrot) are able to sit for a longer time.

For best nutrition and quality, fresh veggies should be used within a week of purchase. It might not last as long or may last longer, depending upon the type of vegetable and the quality when purchased. Bibb lettuce is quite delicate and only lasts a couple days. Carrots could last a couple weeks or even longer.

That likely depends upon the type of vegetable. They are best if used within a day or two, though they will probably keep longer. Treat cooked veggies as potentially hazardous food and do not leave them unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours.

Cooked vegetables should be safe for 3 - 5 days if stored in the refrigerator. Uncooked fresh vegetables vary, depending the type. Some will be good for up to one week, some for 2 weeks or more.

That will depend on how they have been handled and stored. They should be refrigerated and could last up to 5 days or even longer, but they are best if used within a couple days.

Try Different Vegetables In BBQ Smoker Grills ?

Many people associate BBQ smoker grills with meat, but you should not forget that some vegetables can be cooked in these as well. In fact, they can taste better when they are cooked this way than when they are cooked in any other fashion. This does not mean that you should ignore the meat. You just need to remember that the vegetables can be a good compliment to any meal that you are making.
