Onions will last, when wrapped properly, up to a week. Be careful that you seal them in an airtight container, though, or your onions will get slimy and unusable AND your refrigerator will stink of onions for a very long time.

∙ 13y agoYES. Onions are actually one of the main causes of food poisoning. Don't even plan on saving your onion once you have cut it, even if you are storing it in a bag and putting it in your refrigerator- just throw it away. Onion starts quickly gathering bacteria as soon as you cut it that could be very dangerous to your body.
