Depends a little bit on what's in it. Cut up tomatoes will make it wet and shorten the time. Some ingredients (like sliced raw mushrooms) can get a bit mushy.
But if you make a crisp green salad with everything very fresh--say, lettuce and raw spinach, cucumbers, bell peppers, carrot slivers, chopped celery, and other things that are moist but not wet, firm rather than soft--it can keep refrigerated for 2 or 3 days in good condition, especially if the lettuce is not cut with a knife but torn with the fingers.
If you store it in small individual-serving containers without much air in them, you can get away with as much as 4 or 5 days. At the end of the time, you'll be able to see that it's not totally fresh, but it will be perfectly edible. ___________________________________________ Another excellent way to store green salad is to put it into small or medium sized freezer bags, squeeze out the air and fasten securely. Store the bags in your vegetable crisper. I'd be inclined to store cucumber in a separate bag.
That depends upon the type of salad, preparation, recipe and packaging.
Salads are best when just made. Don't plan on keeping it for more than one day. The quality diminishes.
Depends on what's in it. Usually until the lettuce gets brown. As long as the lettuce says crisp, it's good.
This food will only last a few days. 4 days in the refrigerator if the food is stored properly. Place in an air tight container for the best results. Depending on what kind of salad, you can transfer the food to the freezer if longer storage is needed.
Well you can do it for long so I recommend only about 2-3 days or maybe not even that long, but I do know caesear salad can stay in just about for a day or two so maybe if you want to cleanse and rinse your lettuce a bunch of times and put in fertilizer or something I wouldn't keep it for a long period of time like a week!
10 days if fresh, if not about 3. Make sure you cling film it though :)
Please specify the type of salad you are asking about. Some salads, such as potato or pasta salad, will last longer than a fresh veggie salad.
