8 months and still waiting...
It has been 8 months since I took Chantix for 6 days back in February of this year. While taking, I experienced euphoria, dissociation, lethargy, and joint pain. Stopped taking on day 6 (due to the joint pain) and 2 days afterwards, I had an utter complete mental meltdown of panic, suicidal thoughts, crying for no reason, agitation....it was horrible. These issues did not go away, and I was treated with a combination of 2 antidepressants, and something for panic to regulate my moods. 8 months later, I continue to have the muscle stiffness/soreness, especially in my legs, memory issues, and problems with confused thinking at times. I am, simply put, not the same person I was before I took this drug. And, since I did not make it to day 7 (the stop smoking day) I was not able to quit smoking. I wish I could go back in time, and have made the decision to not take this drug.
