Any college will usally count as one year experince for a two year course towards certification. you must have atleast two years of experince to take an ase test and this is done independantly by the ase. No college can give you a full ase certification the can only offer a ase liscense to buy auto refrigerant.
You have to meet the standard requirement's set by ASE and sign up for the test or tests of your choosing. You will pay for each test you want to take when you send in your request forms. Show up at test location and take those test. They will send your scores and tell you what you pass or fail.
For driving an air brake equipped vehicle, or for working on them? To work on them, you have to get the ASE certification. You must take and complete that ASE test to become certified. To drive a vehicle equipped with them, assuming you're in the US, there is no such license. If you have a CDL, then you must complete and pass the written test and do your road test in an air brake equipped vehicle, or else you get a restriction which prohibits you from operating a commercial vehicle equipped with air brakes.
It's a certification for automotive technicians from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Yes you can take the test of ASE certification online. Go to www.ASE.com. It's a mechanics certificate from the ASE.
You can get them all wrong. You won't pass the test, but that is not a requirement of the question.

Just retake the test. You may take the Recertification tests even if your credentials expired in a specialty area. You simply must have been previously certified in that specialty area.
