Tigers are critically endangered species. For decades man has hunted down Tigers for sport and for its skin and body parts. This has reduced the tiger number from sever hundred thousands to a few thousand worldwide. Though there were wide spread in many countries in Asia, they are now present only in isolated pockets of jungles in India, Tibet and Russia.
India has the largest number of tigers, numbering somewhere between 2,500 and 3,750 tigers. The Indian government is expected to release new numbers in the coming year. Worldwide it is estimated that only 5,000 to 7,000 individual tigers now remain in the wild.
Latest figures estimate Bengal population at around 2000.
The tiger population worldwide in the wild is around 5200, with six subspecies. Nearly half the wild tigers left are of the Bengal subspecies.
The numbers of tigers are falling rapidly and year after year thousands of tigers are dieing due to hunters and deforestation!!
Around five thousand in the wild.
There are about 5000-6000 tigers living across Asia
Current estimates are between 3300 to nearly 4100 tigers in the wild, in six recognised subspecies.
There is about 3200; around 1411 Bengal tigers, about 450 Siberian and the same with Sumatran, Indo-Chinese is anywhere between 1100 and 1800, and the South China tiger is close to none, to be precious, less than 20. Sadly, there are none of these three extinct species; Caspian, Bali and Javan.
Answer
There are approxamitely 5000 - 7400 tigers left in the wild (that is all the tigers not just one species). In captivity there are approximately 1000 tigers kept in captivity across the world.
Answer
There are between 3,000 and 4,000 wild tigers in the world, but some species (Bali, Java) are now extinct and the populations of others continue to shrink. India has about 1400 tigers in the wild, and in Russia the Siberian tigers were rescued from near extinction and number about 400 to 500. China is attempting to recreate its historic wild population with released mothers and cubs.
The number of tigers in zoos and breeding habitats greatly outnumbers the free population, with as many as 4000 to 4500 captive tigers in the US alone.
Answer
It is difficult to get complete and accurate numbers, due to many factors. The tiger's scattered ranges, and the nature of the tiger itself, are just a few. It is estimated, currently the total is between 3000 and 4000, tigers living in the WILD (this estimation does not include tigers in captivity). The subspecies totals are:
There are some tiger species that have died out completely. A hundred or so years ago there were well over 10,000 tigers.
Answer
As of March 2010, there are just 3200 tigers left in the world.
Answer
Probably less than 3500 in the wild, occurring in six subspecies.
This happened in late November 2010
The answer is less than 1,500 in the whole world.
In the wild there are:
490-525 Siberian tigers
1900-2080 Bengal tigers
790-1010 Indo Chinese tigers
380-425 Malayan tigers
290-412 Sumatran tigers
0-8 South China tigers*
The South China tiger is currently undergoing a project whose aim is to reintroduce zoo born South China tigers back into the wild. The Project is underway now in South Africa.
According to two different sites the population of Indochinese tigers remaining in the wild is between 736 and1,785. The large difference in the numbers is thought to be because the largest fraction of these tigers was in Malaysia, "where illegal poaching is strictly controlled", but it has since been discovered by experts that the tigers in Malaysia, aren't Indochinese tigers. They are in fact another subspecies of tiger, The Malayan Tiger. This lowers the population of Indochinese Tiger lower than expected, so they believe the numbers are in the lower ranges of these. The wild populations of all tigers are endangered and at extreme risk. Estimates are that there are 850 to 950 Indochinese tigers left in the wild.
The Indochinese tigers are on the endangered species list along with all tigers now, and they number only 900 to 1100 left in the world today.
There are estimates that there are only around 4000 to 5000 total in the wild in the world today (2008).
Ok if u look in different country you will find different answers and everyday new tigers are born so there is no possible way you can find the answer.
There are around 3800-4100 tigers left in the wild.
There are about 100 white tigers left in India.
there are none left
they are endangered so not many
what and where animals are endangered and also an estimate of about how many are left
Endangered species are animals, plants, really any organism that is dying out. There are still a few left but not as many as there should be. Some examples are giant pandas, Bengal tigers, etc.

there are many endangered animals like bears, dolphins, tigers, butterflies, polar bears,
Less than 700 are left in the world. Western Lowland and Cross River Gorillas - threatened species Eastern Lowland and Mountain Gorillas - endangered
Tigers are not yet extinct but are among the animals that are endangered. Tigers are endangered because human beings destroy their habitat. Their food is also scarce while competitors and enemies are many.
they are endangered so i think that not a lot of white tigers are born.
There are about 100 white tigers left in India.
Endangered means not many left of the species.
