Around 3 million Polish Jews were murdered by the German occupiers. It is estimated that there had been around 3.3 to 3.5 million Polish Jews in 1939. The Germans however used a different definition of what made someone a Jew; hence the 3 million killed could be out of a total of up to 4 million. It is generally held that 300,000 survived the Holocaust. Many emigrated to Israel and America after the war.

After the end of WW2, only a small number of Jews, perhaps 200, were killed by Poles in a wave of lawlessness which was sweeping the land.

In total in 1933 before Hitler came into Power the total Population of Jews was between 15.5 Million and 16 Million. However around 42% were killed during the Holocaust, All Being Jews from Europe and Parts of the USSR.
