The previous answer of "849,000 young men were killed in ther Korean war" is false. It was nowhere near this amount.

36,516 Americans military men and women lost their lives in this war. This was a large cost for America in teamrs of death and wounded. This figure represents all ages and not just 18-24 years.

Other nations such as both Koreas and china had much larger losses not included in this figure. About 2.8 million people lost their lives as a result of this conflict.

Lives continue to be lost to this day with sporadic military raids by both sides.
