Yes but you need to buy an inverter that specifically says it is stackable. These usually cost more..... Otherwise they are not stackable. Thats correct the two units have to be synchronized it have to be 100% in face and use only one sine wave signal source that is doing the transistor switching then the two outputs can be connected in parallel to give you a 4000 watt output, normally a stackable inverter have a master unit and the slaves is staged on the master the slaves don't have switching circuitry it is controlled by the master.
