Over a million, but many do not survive... Only lucky animals get to have a loving home that gives them water, shelter, and food. Sometimes they don't even make it out of the vet from there checkups and shots and disease check. Most have to be put asleep or are neglected and abused and are left to die. Please take care of the animal you have, and do not have a mean pet around kids. Please only have the amount of pets you can handle. If not, please find them a better home. For someone that can handle the situation better. If not, try your best to find a place like the humane society or a vet or a pound. Thank you, and please let your pet have a life.
