Depends on the persons size, how active this person is, genetics, etc. I'm assuming the question is .... take in per day to maintain body weight. Never should the calorie intake for a teenager (boy or girl) be below 1200. A more or less average size teenage girl (around 5'5" or 5'6", 110 lbs give or take) with an activity level which is also average for a teenage girl should be around 1800 as a daily average to support proper nuitrition and growth. These should be good healthy calories, not 1800 calories of chocolate, french fries and milk shakes.
