A toddler's daily caloric requirements vary greatly with his/her activity level and size. In general, they will need approximately 40 calories per inch of height.
As a general rule multiply their height in inches by 40. So for example, if your baby is 27 inches he or she should be getting about 1080 calories daily.
It varies a little based on weight, height, acitivity level, body type, and a variety of other factors. On average, though, about 1,600 to 1,800 caloires or so daily.
