The pearl of Allah, the largest pearl on record, was recovered from a giand clam on May 7,1934 by a diver off the coast of Palawan Island, Philippines. The pearl is 9.4 inches long and weighes about 14 pounds. It is valued at $40 million and is 575 carat.
