Daniel Webster (1782-1852) and his wife, Grace Fletcher Webster (1781-1828), had
five children. Two died young and are sometimes overlooked.
- Grace Fletcher Webster ("Little Grace"): April 29, 1810 - January 23, 1817 (age 7)
- Jully Webster Appleton (sometimes spelled Julia): January 16, 1818 - April 28, 1848 (age 30)
- Daniel Fletcher Webster ("Fletcher"): July 25, 1818 - August 30, 1862* (age 44)
- Edward Webster: July 20, 1820 - July 23, 1848** (age 28)
- Charles Webster: December 11, 1821 - December 19, 1824 (age 3)
Grace Fletcher Webster died on January 21, 1828, at the age of 47. She was interred with her oldest and youngest children, Grace and Charles, who preceded her in death. The three were later reinterred with the rest of the family at Winslow Cemetery (aka Old Winslow Burying Ground), in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
Daniel Webster married Caroline Bayard LeRoy in 1829, but the couple had no children. Webster's second wife is not buried with the family.
* Fletcher Webster is the only one of Daniel Webster's five children who survived him. Fletcher, a Union Colonel with the 12th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Army of the Potomac, was killed in the Second Battle of Bull Run during the Civil War.
** Edward Webster, a Major in the First Massachusetts Infantry, was killed in the Mexican-American War.
