The number of concrete blocks in a metre will depend on the type of concrete block being used.

Concrete blocks come in different sizes in different countries and each has variations in width, height and thickness based on the standard module size, such as 1/2 or 3/4 variants of each dimension.

Note that each block has an actual size and a nominalsize that accounts for a typical mortar joint. Usually the nominal size is a round number giving easier calculations and construction dimensions. (The nominal depth is not usually the depth of the individual wall, as there is no mortar layer needed.)
