Typically, an associates degree takes approximately 60 to 64 credit hours depending on the program of study and the state mandate where you reside. However, there are some programs of study that can require more, such as some - usually - within the allied health field. Within the Unites States there are three common associates degrees as follows:
- Associates of Arts (A.A.)
- Associates of Science (A.S.)
- Associates in Applied Science (A.A.S.)
