There is only ONE electron in the hydrogen atom .

Here is a table of hydrogen isotopes. You will notice in all three cases there is only one proton and one electron.

protium ([1/1]p) ; 1 proton, 0 neutrons , 1 electron

deuterium ([2/1]d) ; 1 proton, 1 neutron , 1 electron

tritium ([3/1]t) ; 1 proton, 2 neutrons , 1 electron

helium ([4/2]He) ; 2 protons, 2 neutrons, 2 electrons.
