I've ran into several problems, on this Website, that are very similar to the one found trying to answer such a question as the one you're asking here. The problem with your question--and most likely the reason it has yet to be answered--is that a cup is a measurement of volume, and the gram is a unit or measurement of weight. In order to answer this question, without knowing the specific mass of oatmeal, one would have to fill a measuring cup with oatmeal and dump it onto a set of scales. The oatmeal's weight could then be converted to grams if the scales don't register in grams. ...so you've made me measure it....1 cup of oatmeal weighs 90 grams or 3 oz., therefore a 1 kg bag of oatmeal would contain just over 11 cups.
