I make one gallon of tea to which I add 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar for the level of sweetness I desire. Unfortunately, this equates to 72 teaspoons of sugar per gallon or 4.5 teaspoons per 8 oz. glass. There are 48 teaspoons in a cup of sugar. Looks like I better start drinking more water than tea!

I have been researching this and it appears that sweet tea vodkas do not have any carbs. The labels and websites are not very forthcoming, but Firefly sweet tea flavored vodka actually says 0 carbs on the back of the bottle.

Pure green, black and herbal tea has almost no carbs at all. F.e. 100 mL of black tea has less than 0,2 g carbs. That's maybe 1 kcal. So nothing you should care about. So unsweetened, pure tea is, besides water, something you can drink all the time when you're on a diet.
Depending on how big the serving is, the carbs will vary. In general, you can guess that in a normal serving for one person to have about 6 carbs per ounce of fries.
Although many southern people do like sweet tea not all do. You cannot expect every person from the south to enjoy sweet tea since all people have a different tastes.
