According to a daycare worker, you can have 5 children older than 2 in a daycare without a license. For babies, it's 3.

You can babysit 4 children without a daycare license. If you are going to do this as a business, then you need to get a license.
I would hasten to say that none of the children require you to have a daycare licence, but their parents would possibly like to see it hanging on your wall.

You can only watch 2 kids for pay in the state of GA. Many think it is 6 before you need a lic. but in reality that is the total you can watch if you DO have a lic. Your own kids do not count of course.

If you are operating a consistent daycare, you need a license in Arkansas. Occasionally babysitting children doesn't have a limit.
As long as it is not an official business, then as many as you want.
it is recommended that you take not more than 3 kids at once or you can make your services more legit by becoming an home daycare provider. be sure that you are CPR and first aid certified. be sure to know if the kids have special needs like medical conditions and allergies.
