People feel they cannot trust their mates when their straight so they try something new. Some women can't stand men because men broke their hearts so they turn Lesbian. It is the same thing with men to women. And some people just want to try Bisexuality, just for the fun of it. But if the number keeps on increasing the way it is it's really only a matter of time. there are definitely much more lesbians than gays today. and it seems to be multiplying. i would say half the women out there are gay. more and more women are now comfortable being with other women instead of being with us men, and this hurts us straight men a lot because the ones like us that do not have girlfriends are hoping to meet the right woman that are straight.

There really isn't too many actually; gays, lesbians, and bisexuals are a minority to straight people. It could just be that you live in an area were gays, lesbians, and bisexuals are very concentrated for whatever reason, probably just chance.
