- Take PA-309 NORTH from Tamaqua to PA-54 in Hometown. Turn left onto PA-54 WEST.
- Take PA-54 WEST to I-81. At JCT I-81, follow signs to I-81 SOUTH to HARRISBURG.
- Take I-81 SOUTH to I-76 PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE off EXIT 52 in MIDDLESEX (near Carlisle).
- Turn right off the exit ramp, then follow signs to the PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE. Once you are past the toll booth, follow signs to I-76 WEST to PITTSBURGH.
- Take I-76 WEST on the PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE (toll road) to Pittsburgh. To get to the city itself, take I-376 WEST (EXIT 57 off the PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE).
