The number of eggs is not relevant. This is the best method for making hard boiled eggs:
Place the eggs in the saucepan and cover entirely with cold water. Put the sauepan on the stove, maximum heat, uncovered. As soon as it comes to a boil, cover the saucepan with a tight fitting lid and turn the element OFF (leaving the saucepan on the element). Set the timer for 13 minutes. Wghen it beeps, pour out the water and plunge the eggs into a bowl with cold water and ice, enough to cover (If you want them cold). If you want the hot, skip the ice bath. PS. If you are using a gas stove I'd increase the cooking time to about 16-17 minutes.
Also, eggs that are at last 5-7 days old peel better then fresh eggs...straight from the henhouse don't peel at all!
5 minutes why not 20mins but 5mins?
this is a trick question if you boil the water in the pan and place all three eggs inside at the same time then it will only take 3 minutes for all the eggs to be ready
3 minutes. You boil all three eggs together.
If you put then all into the same pan and boil them at the same time, then the answer is the same time as it takes to boil one egg. A hens egg for example would take 3 minutes to soft boil and 8 minutes to hard boil.
To hard boil 15 medium size hens eggs will take 10 minutes if you put them all in the same pan and boil them at the same time.
It takes about 5 minutes ... LOL
5-10 min nlkgreytyn
about 5 minutes
About 25-30 minutes total. Starting with a pot of cold water, poke a pinhole in the large end (air pocket) of each egg. (this allows for expansion of the egg without cracking the shell). Place the eggs in the pot, cover it and bring it to a boil. Boil the eggs 3 minutes for soft boiled eggs or 10 minutes for hard boiled. Drain the eggs and immediately cover them with cold running water until they are completely cooled, about 5-10 minutes, if they are to be served cold. If they are to be served hot keep them covered in the hot water. **Note: exposure of the hot eggs to the air will cause the yolks to begin oxidizing (greenish coating around the yolk).
No matter how many I boil, I put them in a pot big enough that they don't stack. Cover them with COLD water. Bring the pot to a boilo and let it boil for 8 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let set for 10 minutes more. They should be perfect.
10 minutes If you put them all in the same pan and boil them at the same time then the same time it would take to boil one egg, so the answer is 3 to 4 minutes for soft boiled eggs, 6 to 7 minutes for hard boiled eggs. Refresh the hard boiled eggs in cold water after cooking to stop a black ring forming around the yolk.
Quails eggs are yummy. Bring your salty water to boil and gently drop your eggs into the water: 2 minutes for a runny yolk or 3 minutes for a stiffer one. If eggs were refrigerated, it will crack as soon as it touches the boiling water. In this case, start with the eggs already in tap salted water, bring to a gentle boil and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Take off the heat and run under cold water for a few minutes, peel and enjoy.
