Would imagine a min. of 6 months as with other EU passes. This would be what should remain on your passport when you leave The US though. I was in a similar situation and had enough time to get a new passport in advance. Time remaining on the old one was added to the expiry of the new one. Not sure about situation re FRG passports.

Britain is in Europe, so there is no passport timeliness requirement for a British citizen to enter the UK. If by Europe, you mean any non-British country in Europe, the requirement is usually six months validity, but individual countries may vary. A VISA may also be necessary to visit some former Soviet republics.
PassportIt's legally good until the expiry date in 2008 but many countries require six months left on your passport before they will allow you to travel. If you get a new passport, they will take into account your unexpired time and issue for (for example) ten years and five months, or however long there is left.
You don't need a passport to book an international airline ticket but many countries require you to have a passport that has at least 6 months left before it expires. This is checked by the airline at check-in time.
6 months
The passport should be valid for more than six months.
Five to Sixth months.
The passport has to be valid for at least 6 months after you travel to jamaica.
It depends on your nationality. Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area. If you have an EU or Schengen area passport, there is no minimum validity. You can even travel to Switzerland on your national identity card, if you are from a country that issues them. If you are from a non-Schengen/EU country you need a validity of at least 3 months on your passport, and if you need a visa then you also need 2 blank pages on your passport.
