How many more wins does duke football team need to be bowl eligible?

<p>After Duke's win over Virginia getting them to 5-1, one more win takes Duke to 6 wins, and even though one of these was over NCCU which is an FCS school, this year teams that are 6-6 with one of those wins being over an FCS school can still be bowl eligible if there aren't enough eligible teams for all the bowls. To be absolutely sure of getting in, however, Duke needs two more wins. It seems very unlikely that Duke will beat Virginia Tech on the road (even though the Hokies are struggling), and most definitely they shouldn't be able to beat Florida State or Clemson. So, Duke's hopes rely on the UNC game, and the two relatively easier games at the end of the season - Georgia Tech and Miami - I mean, easier as compared to VT, FSU, and Clemson. So, Duke needs to win one out of these three (UNC, GT, Miami) to have a chance, or two to be sure of a bowl. Even with Duke showing vast improvement, neither one of these three games are easy, so, it's not excluded that Duke will lose all games from this point on, and fail to make a bowl. But it is certainly possible, and much more so than in recent seasons. It doesn't look impossible to make 7-5, and 6-6 of course is even more feasible, and then with some luck Duke might make it. Certainly, Duke's chance is now, because once Corner Vernon and Sean Renfree graduate, Duke will be back to irrelevance for a long time, in spite of Anthony Boone's good showing against Virginia.<p>
