How many mpg does a bus get?

Answer:
(8-11 mpg)

*it's pretty BAD.

I agree that it is pretty bad, but think of it this way:
The average coach bus carries 55 passengers and also gets 4 miles per gallon
Say you want to go on a 100 mile trip
option 1: use bus (55 per vehicle), option 2: use carpool (4 per vehicle)
You will need 1 bus, or 14 cars.
The bus will use a total of 25 gallons
The cars, assuming they get around 20 miles per gallon, The cars will use a total of 70 gallons.
This is what makes charter buses so popular.
It is less stressful to participants and is up to 2.8 times more environmentally friendly to use a bus.
