In practice, the amount of booze in a shotglass varies. However, strictly speaking, it is equal to one fluid ounce. It is also known as a pony.

A jigger is 1.5 ounces.

In my bar, the average shot we pour is one fluid ounce equivalent of 30 ml. But some of my guests said that in some countries like US for example pouring one shot is equivalent to 40 ml, so it really depends on the policy of each bar.

About 2oz, although the shot itself should be 1.5 oz.
