The type and quantity of refrigerant will be on a tag under the hood. You will be using ounces not pounds.
Should take aprox 30 ounces of freon.
I just checked with the local Advanced Auto in town and they said it takes 18 ounces of freon and 4.5 ounces of oil.

Look for the sticker under the hood! It will tell you the refrigerant and the ounces.

A 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer requires 26.85 ounces for a complete recharge. The normal freon can has 12 ounces so it would take just a little more than two cans.
If the system is completely empty then it would take 37 ounces if the truck has a single unit and 62 ounces if it has dual units...........
